Do It Right with our May Long Weekend Bucket List

Posted by Laura Matthew on May 12, 2017 4:01:54 PM

Summer starts here and we're putting on three days of activities and relaxation for the May Long Weekend. With endless opportunities for adventure and exploration we have narrowed it all down to a short list of must-dos while visiting the mountains on your Victoria Day holiday.

Tee time

Freshly opened on May 12, the Greywolf Golf Course is clean, green, and fully dialed for a burst of activity this summer. BC's Top Public Golf Course features a dynamite collection of par-3s surrounded by jaw-dropping panoramic mountain backdrops. Finish off your day with a cold pint or tasty bite at Cliffhanger restaurant located directly on the course. We can’t think of a better way to spend an afternoon in late May.

Sightseeing

See Panorama from a new perspective! Grab the whole family and enjoy a scenic ride on the Mile 1 Express chairlift to an elevation of 1,560 m (5,100 ft). Once at the top, take in the breathtaking view of the Kootenay Rockies or venture along one of several alpine hiking trail options to explore the area. Don’t forget the camera on this one!

Adrenaline: Down and Dirty

Surprise! The Panorama Bike Park is opening for May 20 & 21. It's the earliest Bike Park Bonus weekend ever! You can look forward to discounted Mile 1 lift tickets with select downhill trails open for some good ol' fashioned adrenaline-pumping, heart-pounding, gravity fed greatness. Plus, a cold drink on the patio tastes that much better when you’re covered head-to-toe in mud. Get the latest details from our Bike Park crew here

Activity Central

New for 2017, the Active Pack makes it easy for families to do a variety of activities with one easy to use pass. Four of the seven Active Pack attractions will be open for the May Long weekend: Eurobungy, Climbing Wall, Scenic Chairlift rides off the Mile 1 Express and Howling Wolf Golf Course. All you have to do is scan and GO! Bonus - there will be a free Bouncy Castle for children 7 and under.

Soak it all in

Bask in the sun or simply cool off. The Panorama Springs Pools will be open throughout the long weekend. Trust us, soaking in the pools with mountain views in all directions is the best way to wind down.
